9/26/17 - This is a rare DWM model 1900 luger with American Eagle crest on the chamber. This is the first production model of this variation, made in or around 1900 with early dish toggle. These pistols went to the US retail market and the manufacturers at DWM realized that nation-based crests increased sales of these lugers, so that is why you find the American Eagle over the chamber. This is also why you see GERMANY marked on the frame, denoting these were exported for commercial sale. This pistol is all original and correct and comes with a rare set of Ideal grips. These were made for the Ideal stock extension and holster, and feature a slab-style wood design over two metal inlays. The original finish on this pistol rates at about 95% with some wear on the ears, front strap, and high edges. All matching numbers on the pistol with correct blank-bottom wood magazine. Bore is slightly frosted with strong rifling and no other major flaws.
