Japanese soldiers basically used two types of the Arisaka, the Arisaka Type 38 and type 99. The most famous of the two, of course, being the Arisaka rifle type 99, made by Colonel Nariakira Arisaka, which was a bolt action rifle considered to be the go-to gun for the Japanese during WW2.
