11/4/21 - This is a nice example of a French Model D issued to the Nazi military during WW2. It is all matching and has the proper "Waffen 251" Nazi military acceptance proof on the right side of the frame. Proper Nazi test eagle proof in the ejection port. It comes as a rig with two period-correct magazines and a period-correct waffen-proofed holster. There are scuffs in the leather throughout, most noticeable on the edges of the mag pouch. There is also light cracking in the top flap, and some tearing in the closure strap. The gun has retained a little over half of its finish. There is noticeable thinning on the whole slide and both grip straps. There is minor wear concentrated around the high edges of the slide. There is an area of small dots of discoloration on the left side of the slide near the muzzle. Areas of spotty oxidation and pits here and there along the slide. There is spotty oxidation on both grip straps. Comes with very nice period-correct black bakelite grips - hairline crack on the right side. The bore is near-mint - shiny with strong rifling.
