9/13/21 - This is an excellent example of a Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. It is all matching and has the proper "Waffen 135" military acceptance proofs. There is also an asterisk marking on the slide, indicating it failed initial inspection and was sent back to the factory for repair. It has retained about 97% of its bluing. Very minor thinning and oxidation on the front strap. Very minor wear on the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle. Comes with excellent grips and a period-correct Walther magazine that has post-war numbering on the bottom (mismatched). Excellent bore with strong rifling and some minor frosting in the grooves. De-cocker is functional.
