3/18/17 - This is an original wartime production Walther PP from WW2. The pistol has German military waffen proof stamps on both the slide and frame. The frame is interesting due to the plumb colored finish that is seldom seen on wartime German pistols. This was an experimental finish as the Germans started to play around with the bluing formula to save on precious materials. The plumb frame is excellent, except for some normal wear/thinning of the finish on the front and back straps. The slide has normal wear as well, but there is a strange machine mark along the right side of the slide, above the serial number. This is a fairly unique machine marking, and proves how the Germans became less strict on productions standards during the war. The bore has some minor residue and signs of use, but overall is in great shape with good rifling, and the residue is very minor that it could easily be cleaned out. Guaranteed original and authentic.
