7/22/19 - This is a very nice example of a Colt 1911 that was manufactured in 1918 and issued to the US Army. The pistol has a fantastic profile view with only minor edge wear, but the majority of finish loss is on the trigger guard and bottom of the back strap. There is also minor patina along the top of the slide. Proper slide with 'H' proof and correct 'P H' barrel with mint bore. Nicely checkered grips with only minor handling wear and age. 'L' marked two-tone magazine. All proper inspector markings. Interestingly, this pistol only just missed out on a small block of Navy produced pistols (serial range was 223,9xx).
