3/27/17 - This is a rare Mauser produced svw 45, marked for the German army, and comprised of all phosphate metal parts. There were only 15,000 Nazi-marked svw 45's produced, meaning these pistols are only slightly less rare than the zero series P.38's. And given most of those were made with a dual-tone finish, this particular pistol is especially uncommon. The finish is a little difficult to rate, as the finish on these late war pistols was often rough. But the frame and barrel are near mint, and the slide shows some edge wear and dulling throughout, but doesn't have much actual finish loss. All small parts are phosphated, including the hammer, trigger, decocker, and slide stop. Correct black Mauser grips that are in very good condition. WaA135 proof on magazine spine matches those on the slide of the pistol. Very good bore with no major issues that I would rate an 8/10.
