12/10/17 - This is one of the rarer AC 43 P.38's from World War II. It has the large "ac" over the 43 but is E/WaA135 proofed on the frame, barrel and slide. Jan Still's Axis Pistols (p.30) states that some of the P.38 slides were manufactured by FN in Belgium and marked with the ac/43 or ac/44 code. These slides were shipped to both Mauser and Spreewerke, where they were assembled into complete pistols. It is estimated that about 4,000 P.38's bear these FN ac marked slides. This AC 43 is all matching and has a nice dual tone finish that I'd rate about 96-97% with minor slide and barrel wear. The bore is minty. Comes with correct black grips and a E/135 proofed magazine.
