3/31/17 - This is a near mint Mauser luger, produced in 1935. At this time, the Germans were trying to hide production numbers so these early Mauser lugers were given letter codes rather than dates above the chamber. The original finish on this one is about 98%, with just some regularly found high edge wear. The straw is about 70%. It has the correct halos on the serial under the barrel, and all internal parts that should be unfinished are in the white. It is all matching aside from the magazine and grips. Only about 10% of G Date's had numbered grips, so it's likely these unnumbered grips are correct. The magazine is correct for a G Date, but numbered to another gun. The bore is strong and I would rate an 8 on a scale from 1 to 10. An excellent example of an early Mauser luger that survived the war in GREAT shape.
