8/18/18 - Early 1937 lugers with strawed small parts and rust blue finish are second only to K-dates in rarity, as the "salt blue" finish was adopted by the Mauser factory in the beginning of 1937. This particular gun is probably one of the best conditioned examples you would find, retaining around 97-98% of its original "rust blue", with minimal wear on the side plate and high edges. The grip straps uncommonly retain nearly all of its original finish, which is almost unheard of in a gun that was in the service with the German army for eight years. Strong straw colors and vivid fire blue on the pins and springs. The gun is all matching, including the grips and excluding the magazine. Excellent bore and grips.
