3/23/17 - These are interesting guns, and a known and collectible variation. They were put together by the French after they occupied the Mauser factory in 1945/46. They used left over Nazi parts but added they own unique style of gray metal grips. The slide, barrel and locking block all have the French proof "Star". This one is in the K block. (L block was the last of these French assembled guns). There are no Nazi proofs but the slide is of course marked SVW 45. I believe the French re-blued the gun, as it looks original but internal parts are all blued such as the locking block. This one is a little unique from others I have seen as it is BH and Bavarian Eagle marked. This indicates that it was issued to the Bavarian Police after the war. The bore is very nice and I would rate it an 8 out of 10. There are tiny Interarms import marks on the right side of the frame. They are very faint and easy to miss (I did when I bought it).
