8/20/20 - This is an original, WW2, Mauser HSC pistol issued to the Nazi Kriegsmarine in 1944. This particular gun is of the 4th variation, characterized by the "Nazi Eagle M" on the front strap and "Eagle M 1/3" on the web of the trigger guard. It is also in the correct serial range. Overall, this gun is in nice condition, retaining roughly 80% of its original bluing. Most of the wear is on the straps where there is heavy thinning and spotty dark oxidation. There is also thinning on the underside of the trigger guard. There is minor muzzle and high edge wear and a few small spots of wear on the left side of the slide. Mechanically, the slide sticks a little bit on the way back and the safety does not seem to function properly. It comes with very nice grips and a numbered, period-correct magazine with scratches and dents on the bottom. The bore is excellent - shiny with strong rifling.
