3/26/19 - This is a recently assembled K98 sniper rifle built on a WW1 Gewehr 98 receiver. The barrel is WW2 Mauser with a fairly nice bore, 7/10 overall. The bore has some roughness throughout and could use a good cleaning, but also should fire and function properly with strong rifling. The metal is in good condition but there is discoloration and some wear throughout the rifle. The wood stock is early and in good condition. Th wood is numbered on the left side of the buttstock, but no other notable markings. The scope is a Oigee vintage WW2 German scope made in Berlin. Very fine, hairline crosshairs and excellent, clean and clear optics. European claw mounts and a dished bolt handle. The bolt is mismatched and I believe WW2 era. Fully functional, reasonably priced "shooter" sniper rifle.
