12/10/18 - This is an excellent Colt Government Model 1911A1 in a matching numbered box. The box is serial numbered to the pistol, however we believe this box is from a later era then the gun (so matching box, but not original - priced accordingly). This pistol was made in 1951, right after Colt changed from c-prefix to c-suffix serial numbers for this model. This pistol retains 96-97% original blue with a few scuffs and thin surface scratches, but no major areas of finish loss. Grips show only minor handling wear. Excellent, shiny bore. Box is in excellent condition, too. Comes with some of the basic Colt paperwork/manual. As shown in photos.
