9/5/20 - This is an original Colt Model 1917 rig issued to the US military in WW1. It comes with a very nice, original, 1917-dated holster. The holster is in nice condition with minor scuffing here and there and toe with ring in tact. The gun is "US Property" marked under the barrel and has an eagle head S20 marking on the frame. It has retained 70-75% of its original bluing. The most noticeable sign of wear is spotty discoloration and patina throughout. It is most noticeable on both sides of the frame, especially the right side. There are very small dings and scratches on the gun throughout. There is muzzle wear and general wear on the high edges, especially on the frame just behind the hammer. Brown patina shows through on the straps. Light roll mark on the cylinder. The cylinder is tight and the action is smooth. The lanyard loop is in tact. Very nice wood grips that are not numbered to the gun. The bore has strong rifling with minor frosting in the grooves.
