10/13/17 - This is a nice 1906 DWM American Eagle luger with about 95% original blue remaining. There is some finish loss and browning on the sideplate, and a little more on the muzzle. The frame is marked GERMANY for export on the left side. These pistols were sold commercially in multiple countries, and the best marketing minds at the DWM factory realized that the pistols sold better when given a nationality-based crest, thus giving us the American Eagle lugers. This one has a set of rare Ideal grips that appear to have original metal interior, but reproduction checkered wood overlays. Pistol has a nice bore and seems to work well aside from the hold open, which doesn't keep the toggle back.
