10/13/17 - This is a scarce, early military version of the Colt model 1902. There were only 18,000 military variations produced and this is one of the first couple thousand. It is all original and correct with about 85% high-polish blue remaining. This pistol has the proper features for an early gun with the rounded hammer and checkered slide serrations on the front left side. The lanyard loop and rectangular shape to the frame were accomodations to requests made by the military, and allowed the pistol to hold an extra round. Hammer still shows some case hardening and the trigger still shows a good amount of fire blue. Minty grips. Unmarked magazine. Nice bore with minor frosting but no pits.
