4/20/22 - This is an original Colt 1860 Army revolver, manufactured in 1862. The finish shows some obvious thinning in most areas but is in pretty good condition given the age. The bore is near-mint and about as nice as you'll see for this model. Inspector markings visible on frame and barrel, as well as cartouches on grip panels. Parts are all matching, including the wedge. Couple of minor dings on the trigger guard. The listing includes the Colt archive letter stating it was shipped to Frankford Arsenal in 1863, so this one served for the Union Army. A copy of Pate's book on the Colt Model 1860 Army Revolver is also included with this listing. Antique so no license required.
