11/5/21 - This is a very nice example of a Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. The gun is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 135" Nazi military acceptance proofs. It comes as a rig with a period-correct Mauser magazine and a nice 1943-dated waffen-proofed black leather softshell holster. The gun has retained about 93% of its original finish. There is minor wear concentrated around the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle. A few small spots of spotty discoloration along both sides of the slide. There is some splotchy discoloration on the top plate and some minor thinning on the top of the barrel through the ejection port. Comes with excellent period-correct bakelite grips. The bore is excellent - very shiny with strong rifling and a few areas of very minor freckling. De-cocker is functional.
