11/5/21 - This is a minty example of an Ortgies semi auto pistol manufactured in the 1930's. The gun is all matching and has the proper "Crown N" commercial proofs. This one is a "button safety model". This variation was produced upon special request and featured an added safety button just above the left grip panel. It was often ordered by the military or police. This one is configured for the additional safety but is unfortunately missing the actual safety button. It has retained about 97% of its original bluing. Just a hint of thinning on the back strap and a hint of wear around the muzzle. There is a small handling mark on the front strap and a series of tiny dings on the tang. A couple of very light scratches on the right side of the slide. Comes with excellent wood grips and a period-correct factory-nickeled magazine. The bore is excellent - shiny with strong rifling.
