10/1/21 - This is a nice example of a very early Walther Mod HP sold in the commercial market in about 1940. It is all matching and commercial "Eagle N" proofed. This is an early variation as the slide is numbered on its underside, near the back. We believe the gun has an old re-blued finish. In any case the gun has retained roughly 80% of its bluing. The majority of the wear comes in the form of thinning on the front strap and barrel. There is also minor wear concentrated around the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle. There are a few minor pits on the barrel and some areas of minor pin-pricking on the left side of the slide. Some very light scratches on the right side of the slide. Comes with excellent grips and a 'P.38v' marked magazine. The rifling in the bore is a bit worn with minor pitting throughout. De-cocker is functional.
