12/21/18 - This is an original, early WW2 Walther P.38. The pistol is an early AC '41 with no letter suffix - a desirable collector variation. The pistol is all original and matching, and fully functional (including the decocker). The magazine is original and correct for this variation, but about 400 numbers off from matching to the gun. Overall, the finish rates around 88-90% with finish loss on the front strap and a peppering of wear on the slide and barrel. The left side of the slide has some light, beginning signs of pitting, while the reverse side has more finish loss around the edges. The bore is very nice with light patina but excellent rifling. Overall a scarce variation P.38, all correct and fully functional.
