SOLD - Excellent Example, Civil War Military, 1860 Colt SAA
Availability: Out of stock
12/26/18 - This is the nicest early (Civil War era) Military issued Colt we have ever offered. It has a significant amount of original bluing remaining on the gun. This quality of gun is rarely seen. We rate the overall condition at around 80% which is remarkable given the item's age. It is all matching numbers and the bore is excellent. I would rate the bore a 7 out of 10 with little wear or corrosion. There are clear inspector initials on the original wooden grips and then various inspector proofs on most visible parts (generally M, K and K). Cylinder scene is still visible. The action is tight and it seems to function well. Timing seems excellent. Clean brass and some case hardening still remains on the hammer and frame. The most important part of this description is found in the photos. So take a look and see the condition. We are NOT experts on these rare Single Action Army Colts and selling on consignment from a knowledgeable collector. So if you have questions we can pass those along. No license needed.
