3/29/24 - This is a near-mint example of a Japanese Arisaka Type 38 rifle. It is almost entirely matching, but the side rail of the bolt is mismatched. The Imperial mum stamp on the receiver has been completely ground. Early serial number. Overall, the gun is in near-mint condition. The metal parts have retained almost of their bluing, just one small spot of finish loss where the mum was ground. Very nice wood stock with typical signs of wear and use. The bore is very nice, the rifling is just a tad bit worn.
