3/29/24 - This is a very nice example of a byf 44 Mauser K98 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. It is all matching with the proper Nazi military acceptance proofs throughout. Unfortunately, the stock has been "duffle-cut" around the wrist. The original finish on the metal parts rates about 96%. While there is very little actual finish loss, there is light spotty oxidation here and there. Besides the cut, the wood is very nice. Mint bore. Comes with a period-correct leather sling.
