12/22/22 - This is an excellent example of a scarce Pre-WW2 Colt Government Model 1911A1 sold in the commercial market in 1937. It is all correct and has a "Colt .45 AUTO" barrel. It has retained about 94-95% of its original high polish finish. The majority of the finish loss comes in the form of minor scratchy wear on the front strap. There is also minor wear concentrated around the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle. There are some tiny dots of oxidation along the top of the slide and some very light surface scratches on the left side of the slide. Comes with excellent wood grips and an original two-tone magazine. The bore has decent rifling, but there is pin-pricking throughout.
