4/1/20 - This is an original Springfield Armory M1898 Krag rifle that was manufactured in 1900. The finish is original but a notable and even patina has set in on most of the metal surfaces. The barrel retains more original bluing that the rest of the metal parts, but still dulled and browning. Very nice stock with no major cracks or chips. P proof in circle on wrist, and faint inspectors mark and 1900 date on the left side. Bore is fairly shiny with strong rifling but some frost and minor freckling throughout.
