8/24/20 - This is an original WW2 Colt 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1943. The left side of the frame has the inspectors initials "G.H.D." and a "P" proof. The right side of the frame is marked with a military cross-canon cartouche. The condition of the gun is difficult to rate, because it there isn't much actual finish loss, but there are several areas of notable freckling on the gun. It is most noticeable on the right side of the slide and on the front strap. There is also very minor muzzle and high edge wear. The grips are excellent. It comes with a period-correct magazine. Original Colt barrel with small 'F' under lug. There's a bit of frost but bore is shiny and in very good condition overall.
