4/28/20 - This is an authentic and original WW1 US Military Colt Model 1911 pistol, chambered in .45 ACP. Cosmetically, this gun is in fair condition, but it functions perfectly well. The gun has lost almost all of its original finish and there are obvious spots of heavy patina throughout. There are also a few dings and scratches here and there. The barrel has the correct vertical "P H" proofs and is original. According to Goddard's "The Government Model", this was shipped to the Springfield Armory on May 22, 1917. The frame has the proper "GHS" acceptance proof. The bore is worn - pin-pricking throughout and very little rifling remaining. Comes with a proper magazine that is also fairly worn.
