8/15/17 - This is an original WW2 production Walther P.38 from 1943. It is a somewhat rare variation with small 43 on the slide, a feature only found in the L block. The parts and finish are all original and fully functional. The finish on this pistol is about 95% overall. The most noticeable wear is on the barrel, where you can see some discoloration and overall thinning of the blued finish. The slide has normal edge wear and additional spots/specs of discoloration on both sides. The front strap also has some thinning of the original finish. The bore is a solid 7/10, meaning there are strong lands and grooves, but there are signs of use and surface wear throughout the bore.
