3/21/17 - This is an early high polish P.38, made by Walther (AC code) in 1941. The serial is in the D block. It has the original waffen proofed grips that has the special cut out for the experimental "Horseshoe shaped sear". (add photo for grips and sear). The original finish is about 90% with honest wear on most of the gun including the slide, muzzle and front strap. The left side of the slide also has some spot of corrosion, most likely from setting too long on a damp surface. It the gun is mechanically tight and working well. The bore has strong rifling but a bit of frosting from corrosive ammo use. I would rate it a 6 out of 10. The magazine is a wartime mag that is Mauser proofed - WaA135. This is the mag that came with the gun (and a fairly desirable mag) but if the buyer would prefer a waffen 356 marked magazine we can do a swap.
