7/19/21 - This is a minty example of a fascinating and super rare variation of Colt's Model 1911. Following WW2, Colt responded to military requests and experimented with altering the original Colt 1911 design to make it operate in double-action. We have other provenance on these guns, but they are super rare. From the style of markings and the grips. We believe this one was manufactured around the 1950's. It has retained about 98% of its finish with minor scuffs on the underside of the frame and on the front strap. There are tiny scratches here and there throughout. There is a more noticeable scratch on the the left side of the slide. Comes with excellent grips and a proper magazine. Mint bore. This exact pistol was featured by Ian McCollum at Forgotten weapons in one of his YouTube videos. To learn more, click the link below to watch the full video.
