SOLD - Smith-Corona 1903-A3
12/26/17 - This is an original Smith Corona model 1903-A3 rifle from WW2. The rifle is in great shape externally with no major issues besides the weak stamps on the wood stock. The stock is original with some light scuffs and normal dings/indents. The left side of the wood has a VERY light inspector stamp inside a rectangle (appears to be "RIA"). There is another small square looking stamp next to this, which we assume would be the cartouche stamp. These are basically illegible and are only barely seen in the correct lighting. We think this is due to a light stamp that has faded out of the wood over time. The wood is 100% original though. The metal parts have some light patina, and there are a few small dings on the barrel around where it is maker stamped with a flaming bomb and 1943 date stamp. The bore is worn throughout with residue and corrosion throughout the rifling. We didn't clean the bore, but left as-is for now. The bore is a 5/10 overall. This is an all original WW2 rifle priced to sell!
