7/10/20 - This is an original Winchester model 1897 Trench Shotgun made during WW2. This shotgun was produced in ~1944 and comes with the original factory shroud and bayonet lug. The shotgun is original and rates at about 85-90% blue, with an excellent receiver, but some thinning/patina on the barrel and trigger group. There are also some scratches on the underside of the barrel. Correct 4-row handguard/heat shield The receiver has the U.S. and flaming bomb ordnance proof on one side of the receiver. The wood stock is excellent and properly cartouche stamped with a G.H.D inspector proof. Excellent gun with just honest wear to the overall condition of the gun. Minty bore and smooth action.
