5/6/20 - This is an original example of the hard-to-find Springfield Armory M1911. Made in either late 1914 or early 1915, this pistol features 70-80% original blue with notable patina throughout. There are also several minor areas of surface freckling. Flaming bomb on slide and frame. There were only ~30,000 of these produced from 1914-16. It has a Springfield barrel (S and P marked) with a minty bore. Correct Two-tone magazine with lanyard loop. Rare original Springfield grips. All small parts are original and correct Springfield, many marked with an S. Bore shows some use and rifling is a bit smoothed out. Pistol comes with a very nice US marked holster.
