1/2/18 - This is an excellent, all original WW2 production Remington model 1903-A3 bolt action rifle. The barrel is 1943 dated with an ordnance stamp and Remington Arsenal stamp. The stock and receiver are also properly Remington Arsenal stamped. The stock is additionally inspector "FJA" proof stamped. The stock does appear to possibly have a light cartouche stamp in between the "RA" and "FJA" on the stock. This is most likely due to some raising of the wood over time, accompanied with a weaker original stamp. The stock is completely correct and original to the gun. The underside is P proofed and has various small inspector proofs as well. The metal is excellent on this rifle, with most of the wear being light patina or a few brown spots on the phosphated receiver. The barrel is excellent and the bore is a 9/10 with some minimal patina within the rifling. The strap is period correct but unmarked. Guaranteed original and authentic.
