2/23/18 - This is a rare and gorgeous Winchester Model 42 (skeet grade) slide-action shotgun. This is a fairly early shotgun, made during World War II (1940), and very difficult to find in this condition. The original high-polish blue rates at 95+%, and is bordering on mint condition aside from the wear from the slide-action. It has the solid rib and is fitted with a diamond checkered extension forearm. 3 inch chamber fires a .410 Winchester round. Choke is SKEET marked. 26 inch barrel from nearest end of ejection port to muzzle. Matching barrel and receiver with multiple Winchester proofs. Minty bore and excellent action. Stock has no major flaws. Winchester marked butt plate. Blue book has a 95% shotgun of this variation at $5k.
