9/4/20 - This is a Walther P.38 rig issued to the Nazi military in 1942. The gun is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 359" Nazi military acceptance proofs. The rig comes with a 1942-dated holster and one magazine. The gun has retained roughly 90% of its original bluing. There is very minor muzzle and high edge wear on the slide, but most of the wear is thinning and discoloration on the front strap. There is a noticeable ding on the right side of the slide, just above the military proofs. The bore has decent rifling, but there is minor pitting throughout. Excellent, original grips. The magazine tube is original, but it appears the bottom was replaced. The holster is in nice condition except for handling marks and areas of light cracking in the leather here and there. The top flap is starting to tear away from the holster at the ends. The closure strap was replaced. It is maker marked, dated 1942, and faintly "P.38" stamped.
