1/8/18 - This is a mint pre-war Astra 900 broomhandle in 99.9% original unfired condition. It is all matching and has practically no wear, with just one or two handling marks too small to appear in the photographs. This gun was probably a part of a batch of guns (300-400 in total) that was discovered after the war in crates and was originally intended for a Euzkadi (Basque) goverment following the Spanish Civil War but was never delivered. It would have then remained in as new, unused condition, until it was brought into the US in the early 50's. At that time, shoulder stocks were not legal to possess with these guns and were sold separately - which accounts for most of these guns having mismatched shoulder stocks or more commonly no stocks at all. This gun comes with an original Astra 900 stock in excellent condition, that is mismatched. It has one small stable hairline crack in the lid and just normal handling wear. Excellent bore and matching grips. A great example of mint pre-war Broomhandle that would be impossible to upgrade.
