2/14/18 - This is a minty Astra 600 from the end of World War II, and is considered part of the second Nazi contract order for these pistols. The Astra 600 was developed by Astra in 1943 at the request of the German Army which wanted a smaller version of the Astra 400. The first order consituted about 10,500 waffen proofed pistols, but the Allied landings in France and subsequent battles resulted in the sealing of the border by the French Army, leaving a completed order of 28,000 more pistols stranded and undelivered. This pistol is in the proper serial range for that contract, and retains 99% of its original blue. Minty grips and bore. Only minor edge wear on the high rails. Correct magazine. The only flaw with this pistol is that the magazine is a little tight in the gun.
