6/2/21 - This is a nice example of a Mauser Model 1914 that was originally sold in the commercial market in the 1920's. It was then issued to the Hamburg police force. It is all matching, has "Crown U" proofs, and has a "P.B. Hbg. No 1948" police unit marking on the right side of the frame. It has retained about 80% of its bluing. There are areas of minor wear on the high edges of the slide, around the muzzle, back of the slide, top of the slide, and on the slide toward the muzzle. Areas of spotty oxidation, discoloration, and light scratches on the right side of the frame. There is patina, spotty oxidation, and spotty discoloration on the front strap. Comes with a slightly worn wood grip and a period-correct magazine. Very nice bore with good rifling.
