2/5/24 - This is a commercial Colt Government Model 1911 from the Great War era, and perhaps the finest we've offered. Made in late 1916 or early 1917, the pistol has 98% of its original, lustrous Colt bluing remaining. There's a small spot of finish loss on the mainspring housing, and a light "takedown" scratch on the left side of the frame. The gun is otherwise immaculate with a mint bore. The grips are as nice as the rest of the gun. Unmarked, blued magazine.
