6/16/21 - This is an excellent example of a Springfield Model 1903 Mark I bolt action rifle. The receiver dates to 1919 and the barrel is dated July of 1944. The barrel is marked "HS" and has a flaming bomb proof. The receiver has a cutout to receive a Pedersen device. The stock is "P" proofed, has the proper "FJA" inspector proof, and has a "C-SAA" proof. This would indicate the gun was reworked at the San Antonio Arsenal and reissued in 1944. The gun is excellent condition, retaining most of its finish with minor scuffs around the muzzle. Excellent stock with minor scuffs and bruises. Comes with a period-correct sling. Minty bore.
