3/5/19 - This is a scarce and highly desirable Japanese Paratrooper rifle from World War II. Exclusively made at Nagoya Arsenal, the rifle is all matching and original and in excellent condition. The chrome-lined bore is near-mint, and there is only minor finish loss to the metal parts, mostly on the barrel. The mum is completely intact, and the original dust cover is present. The takedown mechanism is also all matching, and correctly not matching to the serial of the receiver as these were numbered separately. Receiver also features Kani denoting it is a "Type II" rifle. Original sling, cleaning rod and aircraft sights are present. The inside of the action and magazine assembly are excellent, indicating it was shot very little. The stock shows numerous dings and nicks but no cracks or major issues with the wood. There were only an estimated 19,000 of these produced, but finding them in such excellent, original condition is very difficult.
