5/26/21 - This is an excellent example of an Ithaca Model 1911A1 that was initially issued to the US military in 1944. It was then diverted to the Mannheim, Germany Water-Police force. The gun has the correct US military proofs and "Water-Police Mannheim" on the right side of the slide. It has retained more than 98% of its parkerized finish. There is just a hint of wear around the muzzle and some of the high edges. There are areas of tiny pin-pricking and spotty oxidation on the slide. Comes with excellent grips and a WW2-era magazine. The bore has good rifling with tiny pin-pricking throughout.
