4/27/20 - This is a beautiful example of a Mauser produced K98 from the end of the war, with 'byf 45' marking on the receiver. The numbered parts are all matching, though many parts are correctly unnumbered given it's a late war example. The finish on the receiver and barrel is excellent, with just a couple small spots of finish loss on the barrel (near the muzzle end). Trigger assembly has some patination and thinning of the finish. Stock has sharp waffenamts on right side and underside. No major cracks or chips. Minty bore.
