12/16/19 - This is a beautiful example of a Colt Bisley Model Frontier Six Shooter that was manufactured in 1902. The Bisley models can be distinguished by the longer grip, wider hammer spur and wider trigger. The revolver has a beautiful profile with excellent bluing on the barrel and beautiful case hardening on the frame, but notable thinning of the finish on the grip frame. Terrific bore and grips, with sharp diamond pattern. 5.5 inch barrel, and chambered for .44-40. Timing and action are smooth. All matching numbers. The right side of the trigger guard does have factory re-work markings, so the gun went back to Colt at some point for repair or adjustment.
