3/4/20 - This is a fine example of an original Colt 1911A1 that was manufactured and issued to the American Army in 1943. The pistol is fully correct with properly unnumbered slide, and complete inspectors marks. The original parkerized finish rates at about 85% with the majority of thinning found on the front strap and grip safety. There is also a noteworthy ding in the rear left side of the frame, just in front of the grip safety. It shouldn't affect functionality but it is textured if you run your finger over it.
Excellent grips and unmarked magazine. Proper Colt barrel with small 'F' under lug. Bore shows minor frost throughout but generally clean with good rifling.
