5/19/21 - This is a very nice example of a JP Sauer K98 rifle issued to the Nazi military in 1944. The gun is all matching and has the proper waffen proofs throughout, including a waffen proof on the right side of the butt stock. Overall, the gun is in very nice condition, but there is thinning in the bluing on the metal parts and spotty oxidation throughout. The stock is nice with minor dings here and there. It looks like a lacquer was applied at some point and mostly removed. The bore is excellent - shiny with strong rifling.
