8/12/20 - This is an original Japanese Arisaka Type 99 Rifle, manufactured in the Nagoya Arsenal in 1943. It is all matching but has a ground mum. The bluing appears to have been touched up where the mum was ground off. It appears that there are visible stowage marks on the stock where the gun originally had a monopod attached. The monopod is missing. The bluing is mostly in tact, but there is minor wear around the high edges and spotty areas of discoloration on the barrel and front barrel band. The stock appears to be original, but there are dings, dents, and scratches throughout. There are two white marks on the top side of the butt stock. The bore is excellent - shiny with strong rifling.
